Display Votes to the Public – Patience Nyarko Tells VGMA

Gospel songstress, Patience Nyarko has mentioned on ‘The Punch’; an entertainment and relationship talk show on Yang Radio (yangradioonline.ml) that Vodafone Ghana Music Awards should always display votes to the public to kill any doubts when winners are confirmed on the night of the awards.
Speaking to the host, Papa Ike (Isaac Kwaku Kpogeh), Patience Nyarko who has been nominated three times and has not won any of them though is not disturbed, but believes the award scheme should have a mechanism where the public would be able to know the nature of the voting system to kill doubts formed by people almost all the time when the event is staged.
Patience Nyarko who was nominated for two categories, Gospel Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year was emphatic that she would always be part of the scheme each time she is nominated since the scheme is for Ghana and not for some individuals.
VGMA shouldn’t bring about enmities among gospel artistes whenever winners are declared but I think they can improve.
Patience Nyarko lost to Joe Mettle over the weekend at the VGMAs for two of the awards, Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year.
